課程概述

Deciduous fruits (temperate fruit crops) constitute a great portion of the world fruit industry and research field. The unique locations and climate of Taiwan enable deciduous fruit to be produced in the subtropical areas. Over the years Taiwan has developed some unique production systems and research potentials of deciduous fruit crops. Deciduous Fruits I provides information on important deciduous fruit crops with emphasis on pome fruits, stonefruit, persimmons and minor woody deciduous fruit crops.  

課程目標
Deciduous Fruits I is designed to equip student the background and detail information on the morphology, physiology, and production of important woody deciduous fruit trees by lecturers and discussions. The course aims to stimulate student’s independent thinking with group project. The course will also introduce current research tends in deciduous fruits.  
課程要求
Students enrolling in Deciduous Fruits I should have previously enrolled in Pomology or equivalent courses and have completed the course requirement. Full attendance is strongly encouraged. Students will be accomplishing a short project with topics of their own choice.
